Workshop: Diversity and Inclusion

Breaking down walls, building understanding, strengthening diversity, deepening inclusiveness. In a world that seems more fragmented and polarised by the day, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has never been more important. Stronger D&I makes people feel more seen, heard, and valued, which leads to them making a stronger impact in their families, workplaces and communities, which in turn leads to better people being able to solve problems better.

Why? Because real collaboration can only begin when we are able to appreciate the differences we have. However, we all have biases that prevent us from seeing and listening from another person’s perspective.

It is only when we are able to pause to examine our beliefs and unconscious biases about another person’s race, culture, gender, age, or ability, no matter how slight, that we understand how much we unintentionally exclude others, and in so doing, cut ourselves off from living fully in the world.

By learning to include others, we also expand our worldviews. By being more open and welcoming to different perspectives, we expand ourselves as human beings. Our lives become richer and fuller as we embrace the experiences that people from different backgrounds bring.

This session on diversity, equity and inclusion goes beyond the latest corporate buzzword trends on increasing profits to touch on life experiences that all of us can relate to. Find yourself in real stories shared by our guest speaker, and discover what it means to embrace the humanity in all of us.

What you will gain through this 2-hour session:

  • Widen your perspectives and have a deeper, richer experience of the world

  • Learn how your unconscious biases and assumptions limit you

  • Become more open and relate better to people

  • Make a stronger impact on your community and your workplace

This session is part of The Dwelling Challenge: Contribution series. Join us for the upcoming sessions as well to stack up your accomplishments and create amazing results for yourself!
