At some point in our lives, we say or do things (or not) that hurt others or ourselves – from choosing to work long hours over spending time with our family, to saying something to punish someone, to eating four slices of cake in a row, to doing something we know is morally wrong. Guilt helps us to become better human beings by learning from mistakes and making a change for the better. How do we make amends, forgive ourselves and others, and let go of past deeds?
